November 19, 2025 We have the best news ever. Little Miss Ashley had a sleepover at Best Friends Animal Hospital last night, so (based on previous x-rays and exams), Dr. West could amputate her leg first thing this morning. But the Universe had other plans! When Dr. West examined our little girl prior to the scheduled surgery, it was clear that there was absolutely no pain in her leg. Just in from Raef's new family. He's settled in really well - is all snuggles and purrs. I'm so relieved - the last few days he took squishing himself between the mattress and the wall - trying to hide from Bruce, Kami and Willie, who recently decided that Raef was no longer welcome here. Raef will be sorely missed by me and CaptJackDoggo, but we are so happy for him and his new family.
