Have you ever imagined what feeding 50 cats their canned food would be like? Trust me, it's an adventure. It's believed that cats should have wet food (25% of their intake) daily for optimum health. We go through 32-36 (5 oz. cans) of it with each feeding. Aside from the cost, the time involved is significant. Our residents are served wet food two-three times a week, and they have water fountains in every room to help with hydration.
Opening all those cans, then later cleaning up the mess takes time! I have to hide when I'm plating the trays and then strategically place them around the Sanctuary. They tend to follow me and then pile up on whichever tray was placed next. Of course, the "grass is always greener" syndrome. And, of course, my goofy CaptJackDoggo is begging to have some (NO WAY!!!). If you'd like to help appease their appetites, click on the link below to access our Amazon Wish List and other ways to contribute to the care of these creatures.
We thank you with purrs and sandpaper kisses.

It's also got me thinking about the tangible returns, not just financially, but in terms of the…
