See that teeny-tiny little nugget sleeping on Daisy's leg? Arrived at our door, umbilical cord attached. His/her mother was killed in the storm, found by a neighbor but hadn't been fed since found very early yesterday. I quickly syringe fed some KMR and placed him or her with Daisy and her babies. Daisy is very accommodating, so this little one will have a chance at life. I'm so grateful to Daisy. I just don't have the time nor the strength to do another round of bottle feeding. It's amazing how identical the newbie is to Daisy's babies. I don't like to put babies of unknown origin with a nursing mom, but this is a life/death situation, and all I can do is hope for the best. The Universe will be kind, I do believe.
