Sad Update On Eevee (5/7/2025)

We have very sad news. Our sweetest, chirpy, purry, drooly little girl, five-year old Eevee, (found as a baby in the nearby bushes by TyTy on a walk) was released from her pain and sent over to the Rainbow Bridge, where she joins many of her kitty friends and TyTy. Eevee was born with a defective bladder, which was discovered two years ago when she underwent a cystotomy for crystals. Dr. Pierce found that the bladder had a "pocket" to it, which collected stones and caused infection and much pain. He was able to remove the pocket and repair the bladder, and Eevee seemed to bounce back very well. However, last January she had another attack and underwent her second cystotomy. While we debated over putting her through another surgery, we wanted to give her one more shot at a long and happy life, so we proceeded. That recovery was very hard on Eevee and took quite a while. Now, here we are only five months later, and she was again blocked. There was no way we were going to put her through yet another surgery, so we made the very difficult decision. Lap of Love came to the Sanctuary and, as I cradled Eevee in my arms one last time, Dr. Cathy gently administered the sedative, pain meds and final drug. Eevee's passing was quick, gentle and painless. I sat holding her for about an hour before I laid her to rest.
I will never forget you, my Eevee. Your chirping and purring and drooling from the joy of being loved as you made biscuits on my chest will remain in my mind forever. Life can be so unfair. You gave me five years of love and laughter - and never a problem. Rest easy my girl.
If you'd like to help us cover the fees incurred, it would be greatly appreciated as we are constantly struggling to make ends meet, have four upcoming speuters and other veterinary needs. https://linktr.ee/thelittlecatsrescue

Eevee is in need of your help! She's developed urinary tract stones, which require surgery (cystotomy). Because she is prone to this condition, she will have to live in the office so she can have exclusively (costly) prescription food for the rest of her life. Eevee is such a sweet little girl born 6/22/20, who did have a failed adoption. Because of her condition, she will likely remain a lifer with us. But living in the office isn't necessarily a bad thing for her, as the office has just me, SunnyRay and Scooter (who comes and goes). She will have a little screened area too! Now that Madison no longer inhabits this private room (adopted), Eevee is the new occupier!
The estimate for this surgery is shown below - $1,591-$1,989.
If you can contribute any amount at all, we will greatly appreciate it! There's no getting away with it, Eevee absolutely needs this life-saving operation. PLEASE SHARE!
