Do you remember the four teenage cats we rescued from the parking lot of an apartment building? They were abandoned with two small filthy bowls set right at the edge of the woods. We found it rather odd that when we arrived to get them, within 30 minutes after we received the call, they were still sitting there - they hadn't run off. They seemed bewildered and allowed Ruth to pick them up and put them in carriers. We suspect that the person who tipped us off is the same person who abandoned them. In any event, we took them in, got them vetted and gave them much love - and the four were adopted into two wonderful families.
Tonight, we received this picture - which makes my heart sing. Here are Keanu (now Stormy) and Nesta (now Socks) cuddling with their bestie, their doggo sister, Ivy. Pictures like this take the pain of the day away and replace it with hope.
